Selenite
Selenite is a crystalline variety of the mineral gypsum. It is a very soft mineral which can be easily scratched with a fingernail and therefore not recommended for jewellery, unless looked after very carefully. If placed in water, Selenite will revert to gypsum.

Selenite provides for clarity of the mind, expanding one’s awareness of the

Effects that can be overcome include cancer, tumours, age spots, wrinkles and light sensitivity.

Selenite is said to be a crystallized form of Gypsum. It comes from Hydrous calcium sulphate and is a soft stone that seems almost malleable in nature – more feather than rock. As one of the softer stones, it can be a wonderful and vivid reminder that we should move through this world with a sense of gentleness and that we should bring sacred space to our practices.
